“We provide shampoos at Sumptuous Locks but encourage clients to shampoo their hair 24 hours before their scheduled appointment. Clients are required to come to their appointments one hour before their scheduled retigh appointment. Failure to make arrangements surrounding your shampoo will cost clients an additional $50 for shampoo services”
Hours of Operation
Sumptuous Locks is a friendly and exclusive residential business space. We operate by appointment only to protect and respect the time of our clientele.
Late fees no longer apply. Instead if a client is 30 minutes late or more, the appointment will need to be rescheduled or will end as soon as the next client’s appointment is scheduled to begin.
If a client has gone longer than six weeks between appointments, there is slippage, or a growth spur, the client is responsible for requesting a longer time slot (an additional 2 hours is appreciated by the following client).
Each client is responsible for arriving to his or her scheduled appointment early or on time. Excessive tardiness may result in a late fee- up to $35.
Scheduling multiple appointments in advance increases the chance of securing an appointment in a timely manner. Clients are encouraged to schedule their next series of appointments (for example: Sisterlocks™ retightenings) in advance of upcoming appointments or at the end of an appointment.

Appointments & Scheduling
Sumptuous Locks adheres to a 15-minute grace period for each scheduled appointment. Each stylist reserves the right to apply a late fee, cancel, or reschedule an existing appointment after 25 minutes past the scheduled appointment time.
Should a client need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, we encourage clients to do so at least 48 hours before the appointment. Clients who reschedule or cancel an appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a $35 fee. Beginning September 1, 2015, a client’s deposit of $25 for a retightening will be non-refundable and non-transferable if the appointment is rescheduled for a second time or cancelled less than 48 hours before the appointment.
Sisterlocks™ installation appointments may only be rescheduled once and must be at least 14 days before the originally scheduled date. The rescheduling of two Sisterlocks™ installation appointments may lead to an increase deposit requirement or the balance paid in full 60 days before the scheduled date.

New installation appointments should prepare their hair for services. Preparation includes shampooing and lightly blow drying loose natural hair 24 hours before scheduled installation appointment. Please come prepared and with no products in your hair whatsoever. Excessively tangled, product and or wet hair could lead to a rescheduled appointment and $200 rescheduling fee.
All deposits are final and non transferable

The management and staff at Sumptuous Locks pride themselves on maintaining the highest sanitation standards available. Our sanitation efforts include the following:
